With dropping mercury, we geared ourselves to ensure that people of our host communities are well equipped to fight chilly waves and low temperatures.
Video here is a glimpse of blanket distribution in Ranhor Village, Myorpur. Ranhor is one of our host community and a challenging destination because of its harsh topography. Money was never an issue, it only costed an effort to reach this remote village. And just to clarify that word ‘remote’ here, we would like to share our post-event musings.
We have been to Ranhor many times for activities like medical camps, blanket distribution, lanterns distribution etc. But we never tried to look for it on Google map.
Out of curiosity, this time we thought of seeing its topography on Google map. And google map presented us with this…
Naturally, the next gesture was to tag the right place on map but due to harsh terrain and dense foliage we failed to tag the place. Connectivity permits, on our next visit to Ranhore, we would geo-locate us and mark the place.

Preventive healthcare focuses on avoiding any form of sickness thereby negating the need for doctor dependency. Given the remoteness of this village; that indeed was a point well made. (To check out how actually remote the village Ranhor is, see post on Blanket Distribution.) […]
